Did You Know Certain Supplements And Diets Promote Height Growth?

Certain Diets Promote Height GrowthHave you been trying to promote height growth in your body? Have you tried those various pills and vitamins that did nothing for you?  Did you know there are certain things you can do to gain height? Getting the right supplements and diet is the solution.

To increase height, these two aspects are very important. Other than doing regular grow taller exercises, you should also have the right diet and added nutrients to promote healthy living.

To improve your height growth, the most vital nutrient is protein, which can be sourced from various meats, fish, legumes, and eggs. Dairy is also a good source of protein.

As you eat more meat, you should avoid any of that animal fat on the meat. Eating too many of these saturated fats lowers our chances of gaining height. Instead it makes us gain weight.

Other than protein, it is important to get other growth enhancer nutrients in our diets. Since our bones are responsible for our height, we should be getting enough calcium to keep our bones strong and promote growth. Calcium generally comes from the same foods protein is found in, so getting in foods such as dairy products is a good start.

Another height growth mineral you need is magnesium. This can also be found in dairy, and drinking just 2 glasses of milk before bed is recommended.

If you want to know how to become taller, then you should be avoiding an unhealthy diet and activities at all costs. This includes abusing alcohol, smoking, taking in too much sugar from sodas and sweets, having too much salt, and eating foods loaded with carbohydrates.

What you should be doing is eating wholesome food, getting sufficient rest, and drinking a lot of water. The reason plain water is so important is that it aids the quick absorption of vital nutrients into your bloodstream, which are then transported to various parts of your body, most importantly to your muscles and bones.

By living a healthier life, you will not only promote height growth in your bones and muscles, but you will be keeping them stronger and bigger too.

I am fourteen and i am a vegetarian and i was wondering if the lack of iron in my diet would effect my growth dramatically and where to get iron into my diet other then meat, of course. Thanx.

    Cecily,

A lack of iron will not necessarily stunt your growth, however, iron DOES help speed up your growth.

Meat is not the only source of iron out there. In fact, spinach has 15 TIMES MORE iron per 100 grams than a sirloin steak! So what other sources of iron are there?

Well, from best to worst – as a vegetarian you can get your iron from:

    - Cooked Soybeans, Lentils, Spinach, Quinoa (this is a type of grain that is very high in protein too), Lima beans, Swiss chard, Black beans, Pinto beans, Chickpeas, Potato, Kidney beans, Peas, Black-eyed peas, Brussels sprouts, Bok choy, Green beans, and Broccoli – just to name a few :)

    AND UNCOOKED FOODS:
    - Tofu, Prune juice, Tahini, Cashews, Raisins, Almonds, Dried Apricots, Watermelon, Tomato juice, Sunflower seeds, and Sesame seeds…

So you can see, Cecily, there are numerous vegetarian sources of iron out there. Hope this list helps :)

I’m thirteen and I’m now only 4″8″ and my parents are 5″2″. Is there still a chance for me to grow taller than them? Because I’ve reached puberty already and I have been playing basketball since I was 9(with hope that it’ll make me grow taller). I was wondering if you could be so kind to recommend any food or drink for me to consume so that I can grow to my maximum potential.

A good start in your quest on how to become taller, is to stop eating so much junk food and avoid habits that are harmful to your healthy. So, quit the smoking, avoid drinking too much alcohol, stay away from sugary sweets and sodas, and avoid eating foods high in salt or simple carbohydrates.

I’m fifteen and I’m 5′3. My dad is 5′10 and my mom is 5′1. So on average, i should be around 5′5-5′6. but I’m not, so in hopes of growing another 3-4 inches, I’ve been drinking 3-4 glasses of milk everyday, taking calcium pills everyday, as well as doing stretches every moment that I could for the past month. I dont see any difference yet, but do you think its possible for me to continue to grow?

    Hi Treonne,

I know how frustrating it can be to want to do something, but your height is getting in the way.
The good news is that you are still only 14, which means that your body is still going to grow quite a bit. But during this stage of growth it is very important to get as much nutrition as you can to help strengthen your bones and aid your body in the production of HGH (human growth hormone).

Your end height does, however, depend on genetics (how tall your parents and their parents are). Generally you will be as tall as your father or his father was. So what I would suggest is follow a healthy diet, avoiding alcohol, smoking and other unhealthy things that teenagers are sometimes exposed to, and it will give your body the best chance of reaching its full height potential.

Let me know if you need anything else.

    Shaun
